About This Hotel
This traditional, family run hotel, now in its 4th generation, is nestled in the Kohlenbach valley, in Waldkirch, right in the heart of the Black Forest.
The comfortable, en suite rooms of the Hotel-Restaurant Kohlenbacher-Hof have been recently renovated and many feature their own balcony with great views of the surrounding nature.
A tasty breakfast buffet is included in the room rate, while the restaurant will spoil you in the evenings with delicious regional dishes, using fresh, local ingredients.
In fine weather, guests can enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine on the peaceful terrace.
Activities such as hiking and biking are popular ways to explore the countryside, and many trails start just outside the hotel. Visit France or Switzerland with ease, or just have a stroll around nearby Freiburg. Please note that the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
