Situated in a quiet corner of Grasmere, this family-run country house hotel offers a modern British restaurant, Cafe Grand At Grasmere. The Grand at Grasmere overlooks the lake and is surrounded by majestic fells. It is just a 2-minute walk from the village centre. The hotel has several ground-floor rooms, one of which will accommodate a wheelchair. The bedrooms offer digital TVs and each have an en suite bathroom. There are also several ground floor rooms available. The hotel has 2 spacious guest lounges, which have panoramic views of the surrounding gardens and fells and features a fireplace. A selection of board games and magazines are provided. The area is popular for scenic walks and trains, and guests can store their outdoor gear at bootroom on the property. Nestled in Lake District National Park, The Grand at Grasmere is within a 20-minute drive of Lake Windemere and Ambleside. For the comfort of other diners, the hotel requests that children under 5 years do not dine in the restaurant in the evening. Please be aware that if the main hotel is fully booked, a room will be reserved for you in Rillside Lodge which is located in the same grounds. The Lodge is situated just 50 yards from the main hotel reception with its own private parking and can be accessed via the hotel gardens on foot or via the road running alongside the hotel by car. The only difference between the lodge and the hotel is that guests come across to the hotel for meals. Only 2 rooms are suitable for wheelchair access or for those with mobility issues.
