Surrounded by the beautiful mountains of the Swiss Alps, Hotel / Berggasthaus Wasenalp is located at almost 2,000 metres above sea level on the Simplon Pass Road, a 25-minute drive above Brig. The modern restaurant with its panorama windows offers beautiful views of the summits of the Bernese Alps. Enjoy the sun on the panoramic terrace or in one of the deck chairs on the roof, where there is also a Jacuzzi. Curl up in the Wasmerstube with its bar and stove corner, and enjoy the traditional cuisine with its natural, regional products. The idyllically located Wasenalp is 2 km above the Simplon Pass Road, which is also safe to travel in winter, and is far away from the hustle and bustle. In summer it is located in the Simplon Pass hiking area, and in winter it is right next to the slopes of the small Rothwald/Wasenalp ski area. This mountain inn is the ideal base for all winter activities, including snowshoe hiking, ski touring and deep snow skiing.
