Situated on the Isle of Wight, in a quiet location between the popular seaside towns Shanklin and Sandown, The Miclaran Guest House holds a superb cliff top location enjoying stunning panoramic sea views over Sandown Bay to Culver Cliff. Each room at The Miclaran features an en-suite bathroom with shower and free toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and a flat-screen TV, and most rooms have scenic views of the Bay. Guests can enjoy free WiFi and on-site parking. The landscaped garden overlooking the sea is available for guests to enjoy, the coastal path can be accessed nearby, and steps will take you down to the beaches below and Shanklin Esplanade. The bay offers a variety of water sports such as canoeing, sailing, and paddle boarding. The famous thatched Old Shanklin Village is a 15-20 minute walk away; where you will find an array of cafes, pubs, bistros and restaurants. Shanklin Railway Station is a 13-minute walk from the adult-only property. Ferries to the island are available from Portsmouth to Fishbourne, Lymington to Yarmouth or Southampton to East Cowes. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. Please inform The Miclaran in advance of your expected arrival time. Car ferries to the Isle of Wight are available from Portsmouth to Fishbourne, Lymington to Yarmouth and Southampton to East Cowes. Passenger high speed ferries are available from Portsmouth to Ryde and Southampton to Cowes. Guests travelling by train from London are able to buy a direct ticket from Waterloo to Shanklin which includes the high speed passenger ferry from Portsmouth to Ryde. This property is offering a flexible policy for guests if their booking is affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The booking can be amended to a later date up to a year from the original booking date, subject to availability and seasonal price. The non-refundable deposit will be transferred to the amended booking.
