This design hostel Stayokay Hostel Amsterdam Oost is 3 km away from the city centre. It shares its building with a cinema and theater and is situated in a former school in the Zeeburg district. You have easy access to Dam Square which is 3.6 km away. Free WiFi is available throughout the whole building.

Stayokay Hostel Amsterdam Oost offers spacious rooms and dormitories with a private bathroom. Some rooms and dormitories are wheelchair accessible. Please note that you need to bring your own towels. You can also buy them at the reception against a small charge.

Stayokay Hostel Amsterdam Oost has a bar-brasserie, a buffet restaurant (subject to availability) and a summer terrace. In December 2018 the restaurant The 5th opened, serving quick bites and drinks. Guests can enjoy breakfast at the accommodation against a surcharge and also packed lunch service is available at a surcharge. Furthermore, there is a bike rental service, bike storage, a playground for kids and a laundry service.
Please note that you need to bring your own towels. You can also "buy" them at the reception against a small charge.
You can rent a towel not buy
The historic centre is less than 15 minutes away by bike. You can also take a 1-minute walk to the Zeeburgerdijk tram stop which offers direct access to Amsterdam centre. Please inform Stayokay Hostel Amsterdam Oost in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
Please note that all guests must have a valid passport.

Please note when booking a Double/Twin Room, it is possible that you will be staying in a 4 to 6 bed dorm. The remaining (bunk) beds will not be available for other guests.

Please note that the beds are not made, but bed linen will be provided and guests are required to make their own bed upon arrival. Towels are available at a surcharge of EUR 3.00.

Guests are requested to inform the property when children are coming along.

Persons under the age of 18 are not allowed to stay in a shared room / dormitory.
Persons aged 16 or 17 may also stay in a private room without being in the company of an adult, provided that they can present a filled consent form upon arrival at the hostel. Please send the hostel an email for the consent form.

Please inform Stayokay about your travel companions. This can be added in the Special Request box while making the reservation.
Please note that all guests must have a valid passport, European ID card, or European driving licence
Please note the following policies apply for group bookings of 11 persons or more:
- Please note that the full amount has to be paid minimum 1 month prior to arrival. Stayokay will contact the main booker directly with payment details
- If cancelled 3 months or longer prior to arrival, no fees will be charged
- If cancelled between 2 and 3 months prior to arrival, a 15% fee will be charged
- If cancelled between 1 and 2 months prior to arrival, a 35% fee will be charged
- If cancelled between 2 weeks and 1 month prior to arrival, a 60% fee will be charged
- If cancelled between 1 and 2 weeks prior to arrival, a 85% fee will be charged
- If cancelled 1 week or less prior to arrival, the full amount of the reservation will be charged

Stayokay Amsterdam Oost is a cashless hostel. You can pay contactless and with all major bank and credit cards. It is not possible to pay with cash in our accommodation.
