Kowhai Rest

Kowhai Rest was once a local school that when it closed, was relocated to the site in 1999. It is our home and set on 6 acres. 1 acre of house and garden and 5 acres which are in paddocks with stock grazing. We purchased the property in November 2015 and having 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and two lounges meant that one whole wing could be dedicated to Bed and Breakfast. After extensive renovation we started our Bed and Breakfast in Dec 2016. Kowhai Rest is situated in Opotiki, just 2.5 km from local shops, restaurants and cafes, and 35 km from Whakatane. Local beaches are just a 5-minute drive away. Free private parking is available on site. The rooms have a shared bathroom. Kowhai Rest features free WiFi throughout the property.
