This cottage is located 4 km from the attractive hilltop town of Bettona and is set on the side of a gently sloping hill. The town is set to the south of both Perugia and Assisi, forming the corner of an upside triangle with the 2 towns. Bettona has an ancient past as an Etruscan city and a Roman town - in fact Etruscan stone fortifications can still be traced in its northern walls. Guests will also find all essential shops, as well as restaurants, bars, a chemists and a bank in Bettona. The 5-bedroomed cottage is surrounded by stunning high-altitude views over distant wooded Umbrian hillsides. Well located, set just above the pool, is the independent cottage, which has its own covered terrace area, ideal for long languishing al fresco meals. An unmade private driveway leads to ample parking and the grounds are fenced. A short sloping path leads from the main building to the pool. The accommodation is on the ground floor and offers a sitting/dining room and a kitchen corner with an open fireplace, a hob, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. It also comes with 2 double rooms, a small bathroom with a hipbath and WC, and a shower room with WC. A real plus-point of this accommodation is the wonderful large, shared outdoor pool, with a sun terrace furnished with sun loungers and parasols. The pool occupies a truly panoramic setting and is ideal for all-day relaxation.
