1 Horse Market has a wonderful history starting life as the Police Station and House located in the delightful town of Kirkby Lonsdale. Once the police station was relocated the property that belonged to Cumbria County Council was used by the community and known as Center Five. It was used as the Youth Center, a hairdressers even an art gallery, now unrecognizable to those children who used to buy their sweets in the basement or come to yoga classes here. In 2011 the property was purchased at Auction and transformed by the previous owner in to the beautiful home that it is now. Bed and Breakfast is offered with a difference, you sleep at 1 Horse Market and have your breakfast just around the corner at Platos where the selection is comprehensive and award winning. Horse Market B&B is located in Kirkby Lonsdale. The building was formerly an old police station.
