It is situated within the grounds of a Sri Lankan familys compound, giving guests the opportunity to experience the day-to-day life of a local family. The cottage stands on the side of a hill, surrounded by rocks which have been incorporated into its design, giving it its name. The accommodation offers a comfortable suite downstairs with a king-size bed, lounge and en-suite bathroom, as well as a separate large room upstairs with a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, including an open air shower. Both options have fans and air conditioning, as well as access to free wi-fi. The accommodation can be booked individually or jointly. The cottage is located at the end of a quiet lane which is a short walk from Matara Road, the main road into Galle, a 10 minute tuk-tuk ride away. Unawatuna Beach is a 5 minute tuk-tuk ride in the other direction. Elephant Rock Cottage is a unique cottage set in the jungle. It is equipped with air conditioning and features a terrace/balcony and a comfortable seating area. Featuring a shower, the private bathrooms come with hot shower facilities, fresh towels and linen. A garden view can be enjoyed from some rooms. Other facilities include a satellite TV, washing machine, minibar, a desk and a safety deposit box.
