The hostel staff are available to assist guests with advice on the city.

The rooms at Big Backpackers Hostel are a selection of mixed and female-only 8, 6 and 4-bed share dormitories, plus a large range of private rooms most with private bathrooms. The building is fully air-conditioned throughout and each floor is serviced by both an elevator and stairs. CC TV cameras are throughout the common areas of the building.

The hostel also promotes eco-friendly practices, including recycling facilities, a service for donating unwanted clothes to community charities.

Central Station is within a 5-minute walk from Big Backpackers Hostel, so guests can arrive from Sydney Airport within 20 minutes.
